In 2023, to expand the sales of Nylon Sleeve into different industries with adequate certificates, Hantai has managed to conduct serial tests on Nylon Sleeve.
· One of the tests is UV Protection Test according to EN 13758-1 standard, conducted by TUV.
Europe is a leading region in setting standards for safety and security. EN 13758-1 forms part of the European standard for testing the UV protection property of textile products, which is to assess the material’s ability to protect against UV rays in order to determine whether it meets safety standards.
Different protection categories would be assigned according to the UPF Rating test result:

As we all know, Nylon Sleeve usually could be used for outdoor activities and working environments. For example, Nylon Sleeve is typically used to protect hydraulic pipes/hoses for heavy transport vehicles, large cranes, excavators, bulldozers, road rollers, loaders, electric repair vehicles, etc. When protecting the hoses from abrasion, hose burst, and sharp edge threats, it can also perform as shielding for hoses against UV and sunlight, effectively delaying the ageing process of the exposed hoses/ cables to prolong their service life.
The following test result shows that Hantai Nylon Sleeve reaches the maximum UPF rating ＞50, with both UVA & UVB transmittance rate of 0.05%, which proves that Hantai Nylon Sleeve achieves an EXCELLENT UV PROTECTION for hoses and cables during outdoor operations, as per testing standard EN13758-1!
